Cloudsong here. I’m thrilled to share some BIG updates with you as Earth Medicine Apparel Co. begins its journey of unfolding!

🌈 We’re launching at Pride!

We are honored to be vending at Longmont Pride on June 7 and Boulder Pride on June 15—right here in the lands where Earth Medicine Apparel Co. formed its roots. As a queer-founded brand, having our public debut at local Pride events is important. Plus, one of our impact missions is to build a scholarship fund for queer creatives seeking higher education in Fine Arts.

Boulder holds a powerful piece of 2SLGBTQIA+ history: In 1975, Boulder County Clerk Clela Rorex issued the first same-sex marriage license in the U.S. That courage echoes through time, and now more than ever, Pride remains a vital act of resistance and visibility. Colorado has continued to demonstrate its support for our community by passing laws to protect our marriages and bodily autonomy. In a moment of rising division and ongoing attacks on our LGBTQ+ communities, Earth Medicine Apparel Co. chooses joy, celebration, and community. We love Boulder County Pride festivals - these are sober, family-friendly events showcasing local culture and featuring vendors aligned in resourcing our community.

WTF did we rebrand 4 weeks before launch?!

🐸 From Bird Medicine to Frog Medicine.
You may have noticed our new logo—a frog encompassing leaves and a mushroom.

This icon symbolizes what we call Earth Medicines - that is, the living beings who align the elements, their beloved and complicated relationships to humans marked by shaping culture, art, perception, and supporting the health and resilience of whole communities. Earth Medicines are not only the mushrooms we eat, the plants we make tea from, but the metaphors for a sacred life that many animals and geometrical patterns offer. These sacred beings, including plants, mushrooms, frogs, birds, etc. contain medicines which impact our physical bodies, imagination, consciousness, and emotional bodies. These medicines represent our most ancient relationships to the natural world.

Truthfully, this wasn’t always the logo. When a sacred art and apparel company was first being dreamed up, it was called Divine Medicine Tees, aka DMTees, with an emphasis on psychedelic art and culture. The Stellar’s Jay became our emblem — an ode to the high-flying spirit of powerful consciousness-expanding medicines, and our founder’s deep connection to this bird messenger.

As our mission grew deeper roots, so did our name and focus. We’re now a space for all Earth Medicines: from Kambô to herbs to birds to community to identity. And we needed a logo that carried those values into form. So here is a reflection of our founding story, our first impact campaign supporting Maestro Jhonny Javá’s family and legacy in the Amazon, and the way this brand weaves art, medicine, with collective care.

This evolution is part of what makes Earth Medicine Apparel Co. a living, breathing creation—guided by intuition, experience, and the relationships that make healing possible.
